Everyone who has ever stayed in a Mandarin Oriental hotel will agree: this is one the BEST hotel chains worldwide! From the moment we arrived till the moment we left, everything we experienced in this hotel was top-notch! Mandarin Oriental was voted #1 hotel in Vegas by Tripadvisor and I will admit, it had a lot to do with me wanting to stay at this place. Then out of the top 10 luxury hotels in US, this place was voted #6. Not bad! Not bad at all…

The hotel is located in the center of Las Vegas so you can stay in the heart of the Strip but surprisingly avoid the noise and chaos if you stay here. The lobby is located on the 23th floor which is good because that way non-residents will not visit the hotel (as a lot of Vegas visitors love to do so). Another bonus: NO casino! The lobby area is grand and offers fantastic views of Las Vegas.

Check-in lady was very friendly and accommodating! She immediately offered us cotton refreshment towels because the weather was SO hot! We then got to our room which was a “premier” room.

The room was VERY spacious and impeccably clean. It was beautifully appointed and featured the latest in technology. Actually, it was one the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in! Everything: lights, draperies, TV, music, etc. are remote controlled and very intuitive to use.

Bathroom was bigger than my bathroom at home featuring an oversized bathtub, large (4 persons) shower, build-in mirror tv, double sink vanity, etc. It are also all those little extra’s that make this hotel unique. From the glorious bath salts left for you till the most beautiful hotel glasses I have ever seen! They even have this little “box” where you can put your shoes in… A few hours later you’ll have them back, cleaned (free of charge).

The pool at Mandarin Oriental is very serene offering an elegant (not too large) pool. During summer, they’ll offer you frozen fruit and light drinks…
