7 Reasons Why You Need a Broker/Realtor Specializing in Luxury Real Estate for Your Million Dollar Listing
Luxury real estate is a category all of its own. Those who are interested in luxury real estate are often willing to spend millions upon millions for the home of their dreams.
Those who have a home for sell that is considered a part of this luxury real estate will find that an ordinary real estate agent is not going to be the best choice for them. Instead, they need choose someone who has experience in the luxury market, and will sell their home at the price that they want, and find people who would be interested in this type of luxury home.
With this being said, there are luxury real estate agents everywhere who only specializes in offering homes that cost at least $1 million and higher. These agents are who you want in your corner when selling a luxury home.
There are several reasons why a luxury real estate agent is the way to go when selling your luxury home.
1. Know the market
Luxury real estate agent knows the luxury market better than an average real estate agent. Your local neighborhood agent who handles the sell of all homes in the neighborhood may know the area quite well, but he or she does not have the ability to handle a sell that could account for the entire wealth of the neighborhood.
In addition, luxury real estate agents are going to know the market enough to know just what they can ask for your home and what they can realistically expect to get for the home.
2. Connections to people who are interested
A luxury home is not a sale that happens everyday. Thus, it takes a certain person to fall in love with a luxury home and buy this. Luxury real estate agents have connections to people who would be interested in such homes, as well as connections to other agents who may be looking for a home in this type of category. This is something that you will not find with a regular agent that sells homes around the city to everyone.
3. Utilize more advanced marketing techniques
Those who are luxury real estate agents utilize marketing techniques that are very different from what other agents use. While other agents may advertise locally about a home that they put onto the market, luxury agents may not only market locally but nationally as well so that they can pull in the right type of buyer for the luxury home to make sure that you sell this as fast as possible.
4. An agent is always looking out for you
The luxury real estate market is a market in which can be lead to false home viewings and offers. There are many people who see these homes on the market, and simply want to look at these without really ever having the option to make an offer on the home.

are you confusing brokers with agents? they are two different jobs. That said, any agent, no matter where they live/work, is only as good as they want to be. If you are a dedicated professional, you can work "part time"--but you will be competing with other equally dedicated "full timers"--and this will put you at a disadvantage. Selling houses can be financially rewarding IF you make the effort. If at all possible, i'd say work RE full time if you can, as you will make more money, probably, than you can working for someone else. Good luck.
